a little bit about me...
My name is Olga Mishukoff. I was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I live with my Russian hubby and our lovely Tassie born Russian Blue kitty in Snug, Tasmania, Australia.
I am a photographer and designer and I'm happy to say that I love what I do. I had been dreaming about being a wedding photographer for a few years and one day my dreams came true. I like to meet happy and excited people, also I like to make people happy, when they look through their wedding pictures. That's why I'm first of all a wedding photographer.
I love to travel locally and overseas and explore new destinations. Travels give me inspiration to live, work and be creative. I visited 14 countries and dream to visit every country in the world. I always bring thousands of photos from every trip. In every trip I try some tempting local food. I like Mediterranean, Greek, Bulgarian, Italian and Malaysian cuisine. Also I like Australian cheese and wine.
I'm crazy about Zumba and dancing, boating and fishing, bush walking and alpine skiing. I like the sea, live near the sea and enjoy a sea view.
a little bit about my education and work experience...
I started to go to art school when I was 12. I studied Painting, Composition, Art History and Sculpture as a main subject. Then I studied Photography, Graphic Design, Printmaking, Audiovisual Art and the Multimedia Producing for 5 years at University. In short, I learnt multimedia in all aspects and direction of all content. I graduated from Saint-Petersburg University of Humanities and Social Sciences as a Multimedia Producer.
I worked as a graphic designer for several years, but the art of photography has always been my passion and one day photography overpowered graphic design. I started to work as a professional wedding photographer in 2007.
I still regularly learn about the latest world trends in wedding and portrait photography, visit photography master classes and workshops, read photography books to raise my professional level. I would call my photography style like contemporary with a creative approach.
a little bit about my business...
In 2010 I created a new photography business in Tasmania and disciplines like Arts Marketing and Business Management which I studied at the University helped me in this undertaking.
The name “OLsign Photography” was chosen to display my passion for the arts. “Ol” is a part of my name. “Sign” is a part of a word “design” which refers to my designers experience. “Photography” describes the nature of the business. It's all about me and my business. It all together means I combine photographic and designer's knowledge and experience to deliver creative imagery.
I use Canon Digital SLR cameras from top of range and good professional lenses in my work. I always have a backup camera just in case. I do my best to provide the highest quality photography.
Also I specialize in real estate and architectural photography, fine art and travel photography, event and commercial photography.
